The Department Store is an officially licensed Department 56 A Christmas Story Village lighted building for collectors and movie fans, built to give your village a downtown that glows.
Every Christmas wish starts somewhere, and in this movie, it starts at a store window. Department 56 nailed the vibe: a Happy Holidays sign up top, windows loaded with garlands and wreaths, Santa holding court inside, and a kid with his nose smushed against the glass, mentally writing the world's most persuasive Christmas list. Plug it in and your village finally has somewhere to shop.
